FA Womens National League
Chester le Street Town Ladies played host to Crewe Alexander Ladies at Moor Park on Sunday and produced a dominant display which did not reflect in the 2-0 scoreline.
The game was only 4 mins old when the Cestrians took the lead with Elizabeth Thompson – Clarke firing in a cross which was hit into the net by a Crewe defender for an o.g. Despite their dominance of the game the Chester le Street girls only went in 1-0 up at the interval.
The second half continued in the same manner with Chester le Street dominating and creating loads of problems in wide areas, but not quite getting the finishing touches with 5 or 6 good chances going begging. They did however increase their lead when the dangerous Lizzy Thompson – Clarke increased their lead on 65 mins to record another win and another clean sheet.
