Chester le Street Town travelled to meet a Billingham Synthonia side pushing for a promotion spot. Illness / injuries and work committments meant that the team could only name one substitute for the game . Two mistakes by the Chester le Street defence in the first 10 minutes, enabled Alex Bruton 5 mins  and Matthew Wilson 9 mins to score the goals and kill off any chance the Cestrians had of making a game of it. An early injury to Callum Greaves meant that Craig Marron made a half time substute appearance which seemed to inspire the team and they came more into the game. However after 72 mins much travelled Danny Earl beat the offside trap to put the game out of the Cestrians reach.
