about the team
This team began its journey at Under 8s and has grown massively since those early days. Over the years, we have welcomed lots of new faces and the squad now has 22 girls, creating a brilliant group full of energy, commitment and team spirit.
The team is captained by Lucy, who is supported by vice-captains Madeline, Macey, Chloe and Olivia. Maddie and Chloe have been part of the team since the very beginning, making them a special part of the squad’s story and a great example of the loyalty and development within the group.
The girls are coached by Neave and Rachel, who both bring fantastic commitment and experience to the team. Away from football, Neave works as an accountant, while Rachel is a physio at Sunderland Hospital, and together they provide a supportive, positive and encouraging environment for the players to learn, improve and enjoy their football.
